Nick's latest photographic book Missing Lives with text by best-selling author Rory MacLean is to be published in July 2010 by Dewi Lewis. The book is the result of work commissioned by the International Committee of the Red Cross and portrays 15 families whose family members went missing during the recent wars in the former Yugoslavia.
Since 1991, the ICRC has been asked by families to trace 34,278 missing men and women. The remains of half of them have now been found and identified often through DNA testing, the first time this ground breaking technique was used in the aftermath of a major conflict.
This unique and deeply moving drama is revealed in Nick¹s photographs which also go on exhibition starting in London in July and then to Belgrade, Sarajevo, Pristina, Zagreb, Brussels, Strasbourg and Ottawa.
